The Folly Farm Centre has teamed up with some of the UK's most acclaimed educators, naturalists and field experts to bring you exciting new opportunities.

Whether you want to learn more about wildlife or gain skills to promote and interpret the natural world, the Centre has created a wide range of adult courses to meet your needs. Try out a twilight badger watch or treat yourself to an all-inclusive residential wildlife film-making weekend.

The Folly Farm Centre course programme offers everyone the opportunity to get involved with their environment and enjoy the countryside . There's something for everyone - from professional development to those who already work within the environmental sector, to activities for those who have a passion for exploring their natural heritage through art, photography, hands-on craft, or just understanding what makes this a very special place.

  • Natures Christmas Craft Open

    Get into the festive spirit with a day out at the Folly Farm Centre overlooking Chew Valley Lake near Bristol. In the morning join one of the Folly Farm Team on a guided walk to explore the stunning 250 acre reserve surrounding the Centre and discover what nature is up to over the Christmas Period. Keep your eyes open for the wealth of wildlife in the area and learn more about the wonders of nature in this beautiful setting. In the afternoon join the well respected Willow artist Julie Starks in creating festive crafts and decorations out of natural materials including holly, ivy, mistletoe and willow ready to be freshly put up for Christmas. Join the Folly Farm team for a traditional festive treat of Mulled Wine or hot cocoa and a minced pie.

    Date: Sunday 21st Dec 10am – 4pm, Cost: £15 for adults, £10 for under 12’s, refreshments included throughout the day, participants will require a packed lunch. Suitable for families with children aged seven and above. Due to the limited number of places early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
