an inspiring conference venue
The fresh air, beautiful views and abundance of nature at Folly Farm make it an inspiring venue for conferences, meetings, training and team away days. We’re only 10 miles from Bath and Bristol, with easy links to the M4 and M5, but at Folly Farm your delegates can get away from it all and see things from a different perspective.
team building activities
Folly Farm’s unique teambuilding activities are the perfect way to energise your team. Test your teamwork with sheep herding or navigation challenges across the nature reserve. Learn new skills with bush craft, or relax and refocus with a stress management workshop. You can even learn nature conservation skills while giving something back with a corporate volunteering day run by the experts at Avon Wildlife Trust.
Choose from three purpose-built meeting and conference rooms. The Oak Room is our converted barn and has space for up to 60 delegates seated theatre style, with the adjoining Willow Room forming a perfect breakout area. For smaller conferences, the Wagon House provides boardroom seating for up to 12 delegates, with day delegate rates available for eight or more.
Good food leads to great ideas, and our kitchen is on hand with a range of menus using delicious local produce, often picked from the kitchen garden. Enjoy delicious Somerset stew with home-baked bread, freshly made sandwiches and seasonal soup, BBQ feasts, melt-in-your-mouth homemade cookies – we’re certain our kitchen will impress. If you have specific food requirements, menus will be designed to suit your needs. An honesty bar is available on request stocking soft drinks, wine and local cider and ale favourites.
Holding a residential conference or week-long course? No problem. Your delegates can stay in our 10 self-contained studios, or in our 18th century farmhouse. All conference accommodation is on site and you'll wake up to a hearty breakfast served in the Old Dairy dining room. At the end of the day delegates can relax next to the log-burning fire, take dusk walks around the nature reserve, or sit under the stars by the fire pit.
The green alternative
If you’re an ethical business like us, you’ll love the fact that all paper on site is recycled – including the conference pads – and the pens you can buy use vegetable inks. We use solar and biomass heating, wastewater is broken down in our reed bed sewage system, and we even harvest rainwater. Best of all, every penny of profit goes directly to the Avon Wildlife Trust to protect local wildlife.
