Imagine falling asleep at night to the rustle of the wind in the woods and the call of the owls, with your nearest neighbours the badgers in Folly Wood. In the morning watch the sun rise over Chew Valley Lake and take a stroll over Round Hill for a birds-eye view of the world around Folly Farm.

The Folly Farm Centre has 20 twin-bedded bothies, which are available for hire throughout the year as part of the conference and courses programme. The restored farmhouse can sleep up to 35 schoolchildren and teachers, and there are facilities in both units for disabled visitors. From 2009 the accommodation will be available for wedding hire.

Situated 2 hours from London, 30 minutes from Bristol and Bath, 20 minutes from Bristol International Airport, the location is accessible, stunning and unspoilt

How to get to folly farm

We encourage visitors to use environmentally friendly forms of transport wherever possible. Most of our reserves are easily accessible by bicycle, with many close to the National Cycle Network.

If you are driving:

Travelling southwards from Bristol on the A37 travel through Pensford. At the Chelwood roundabout turn right onto the A368 towards Bishop Sutton. After about 2 miles go past the turning to Chew Magna and take the next small turning on your left very shortly after, just before reaching Stowey.

Or travel by bus from Bristol to Bishop Sutton (nos 673, 674, 675) or to Clutton no 376.
