The bedrooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. We also had a log burner in the Atrium and we enjoyed board games around the fire in the evening.”

Folly Farm is the perfect countryside retreat for you to gather all of your friends and family, for any occasion or celebration.
The beautiful grounds are located within a 250-care nature reserve, abundant with wildlife with the most amazing dawn chorus. Whilst secluded and peaceful, the reserve is located only 15 minutes drive from several destination areas including Bristol and Bath, making it the perfect location to explore the Somerset area and all the activities on offer.
Whether you are celebrating a big birthday, letting your hair down for a hen-do, or just want to get friends and family together, this is the perfect retreat venue. We are able to provide garden games to play on the lawn, or even group activities such as sheep herding, woodland crafts, cocktail making workshops or archery, and more.
A collection of old farm buildings lovingly restored, Folly Farm can accommodate between 10 and 58 guests. Some of the bedrooms overlook the Chew Valley and the others look out across our own Orchard gardens. With various styles of rooms, we can accommodate families and friends in appropriate spaces.
Our packages are based on self-catering, allowing you all to bring your own food and drink, and cook together as a group and keeping it casual. There is a fully equipped professional kitchen for you to use, and the Old Dairy can seat up to 58 guests within it’s original stone walls, and make use of the BBQ facilities just outside in the Orchard. Our in-house caterers can provide anything from a breakfast, family lunch or group dinner, to formal celebratory meals if you would prefer.

Our packages give you the option of having the entire site for your stay, or for smaller groups you can hire just the farmhouse and it’s grounds.
Surrounded by wildlife and ancient woodlands, Folly Farm is perfect in every season; from the carpets of spring bluebells and wildflower meadows of summer, to the golden tones of autumn and the dramatic winter skies, giving you plenty to explore together.

Food and drink is an important part of a family gathering. At Folly Farm you have access to a fully equipped professional kitchen to self cater a meal of any size, for breakfast lunch and dinner. for the summer months there is also a large BBQ in the orchard garden.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink, and we are happy to suggest some local farm shops. Our rural location means delicious seasonal produce is in abundance.
If there are no budding chefs in your group, our in-house caterers have menus to suit a variety of budgets and tastes, from a full fry-up breakfast to a larger celebration meal.
